Funeral Ceremonies

Funeral Ceremony

A personalised and respectful service is held to honour the life of someone who has died. This can be religious, spiritual, or entirely non-religious, shaped around the individual’s beliefs, personality, and values. Whether held at a crematorium, burial ground, or another venue, I will work with you to create a meaningful tribute.

A Wake

A wake is a heartfelt gathering that brings people together before or after a funeral and/or a direct cremation. In some cases, it serves as an alternative to a traditional funeral. Less formal than a ceremony, a wake creates space for stories, laughter, tears, hugs, and memories to be shared freely.

Whether held in a garden, a hall, or a home, it offers comfort and connection in times of loss. You might include music, photos, a few chosen words, or a moment of silence.

Some families opt for a wake as a more relaxed or culturally familiar alternative to a traditional service. Others use it to complement the funeral with warmth, food, and the familiar rhythm of togetherness.

Memorial Ceremonies

Offers the chance to gather and honour a loved one, or in memory of them, way after a funeral has taken place. It’s perfect when distance, timing, or other circumstances delayed the initial farewell—or when you wish to mark their life in a new, more personal way or an anniversary. Unbound by urgency, it allows for deep reflection, storytelling, and a celebration shaped around who they truly were.

Memorials can be held weeks, months, or even years after a passing, offering gentle closure and heartfelt tribute—a time for appreciation and gratitude.
